Study Week 63: The Joy of Sex
Week of April 19, 2009

Well, I sounded a false alarm for the Life Groups last week and had them study the 7th Commandment, "thou shall not commit adultery."  I had forgotten it was Mission Sunday and that Greg wouldn't be preaching on that commandment until this Sunday.

So, here's the game plan.  If your Life Group didn't meet last week, or if for some other reason you didn't study last week's lesson on the commandment concerning adultery, study it when you meet this week.  You may want to look at it through the lens used by Greg to craft his sermon ... the joy of sex.  Look at the positive aspects of the commandment and not just the proscriptions.

If you studied this commandment last week, then talk about missions.  Here are a couple of questions to stimulate conversation:

1.  What does it mean to be "missional?"

2.  How has the way "we do missions" changed from the time of missionaries and priests joining armies and flying under the flags of sovereign nations centuries ago?  Is  missions something Christians do only in foreign countries?  Discussd.

3.  Give examples of people and organizations that are good examples of what it means to be missional.  Explain why.

4.  Should you consider yourself a missionary?  Discuss.

Have fun in your Life Groups this week.  Be encouraged ... we live in the light and truth of the Resurrection.

Blessings on you and yours,

Michael
