Over 600 fathers and daughters turned out to the Malibu Inn on Saturday night for MPC's eighth annual Father/Daughter Valentine's Dance.
By all accounts, the event was a tremendous success.
This year's dance was the first to be held off of MPC's campus, due to the loss of our structure to the fires last year.
Even so, the event drew 200 more participants than last year.
Fathers and their girls enjoyed a buffet dinner, special Valentine smoothies, games and arts and crafts. Josh Kauffman performed several memorable songs for the evening, followed by a DJ who spun tunes to dance to.
"It is important to celebrate the bond between a father and a daughter," said Kristie Vosper, Director of Children and Family Ministries. "Ultimately, it reminds us of the relationship between ourselves and God - our spiritual father."
We wish to thank all of the many staff and volunteers who helped make this remarkable event a success. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
