Good news from Brazil - Team Update

Praise be to God! Thank you for your prayers as we´ve traveled over 600 miles on the amazon river, bringing our hope in jesus christ. this morning, we are back in manaus, after a six day journey on the river. we visited four villages and each brought its own unique challenges and joys.

Jess and Chelsea, along with the boats medical staff did a wonderful job and saw many patients, suffering with everything from malaria to bug bites. the rest of the team held vacation bible school for many, many children while the rest of the team visited one-on-one with villagers, sharing scripture and testimony, leading many to our loving God.

Each day at a village culminated in a service, where many accepted christ - how awesome is He! we grew very close to our brazilian brothers and sisters on the boat - the translators, pastors and boat staff - and got a glimpse of the banquet table as we found a common language in the love of our christ.

There is a confidence to the mission of the brazilians. instead of preaching at people or leaving pamphlets, we saw first-hand how these brazilians LOVE PEOPLE INTO CHRIST, their hearts are truly broken for the least of these, and such modeling heavily impressed upon the hearts of our team.

Praise God our community of malibu presbyterian church has extended its arms and hands 4,500 miles away to not only unite the church, but to unite in confidently loving the unloved, the unhealed and the lost into the family of God.

Let us continue to faithfully and prayerfully commit our way to God, and not be ashamed of this good news, but proclaim his love as we come to know his great love for us. here is our word for you this morning, we love, because he first loved us. KNOW his love, seek his love and his love will go out in ways unimaginable.

Blessings to our family.
