The Constitutional Witness (Presbyterian Church USA Book Of Order G-1.0200): The great ends of the church are the proclamation of the gospel for the salvation of humankind; the shelter, nurture, and spiritual fellowship of the children of God; the maintenance of divine worship; the preservation of the truth; the promotion of social righteousness; and the exhibition of the Kingdom of Heaven to the world.
Worship: gathering together to celebrate, honor, pray to, and listen for God.
Discipleship: deepening our faith and relationships through small group Bible study and prayer.
Fellowship: activities that encourage Christ-honoring relationships.
Greatness: God's idea of greatness is different from the world's definition (Matt. 16:26). Jesus said the greatest among us will be the servants of all (Matt. 23:11). The call of a Christian is a great one: to be the salt and light of the world (Matthew 5:13-15).
Service: humbling oneself to help others in the church, one's community and around the world for the sake of Christ (Matt. 5:16, 1 Corin. 12:7).
Outreach: sharing the good news of Christ's love in tangible ways in our church, community, and around the world.

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."Matthew 28:18-20

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment.Matthew 22:36-38
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.John 15:5

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.Ephesians 2:19-22
(note: the "you" is plural.)
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.Romans 12:4-5
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.Hebrews 10:24-25

You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.Acts 1:8
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
Matthew 5:13-15
We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.2 Corinthians 5:20
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.Philippians 3:12-14
The greatest among you will be your servant.Matthew 23:11
What good will it be for you to gain the whole world, yet forfeit your soul?Matthew 16:26
